Measuring Internet-Specific Reading Motivation and Engagement in an Academic Domain

چکیده

The purpose of this study was to develop and test a new measure motivation engagement when reading for academic purposes on the Internet. Confirmatory factor analysis scores 386 Norwegian pre-service teachers showed that seven-factor model including positive constructs intrinsic motivation, perceived competence in reading, valuing dedication as well negative difficulty devaluing avoidance fit data well. Moreover, regression analyses these contributed time spent Internet achievement over above gender, educational level, teaching practice, total Taken together, findings provide preliminary evidence construct validity measure. discussion highlights how may be used future research roles contexts.
